When I reflect upon the number of disagreeable people who I know have gone to a better world, I am moved to lead a different life. ~ Mark Twain

A little different, but we love this stuff:

Aunt Ginny's Meat Loaf

1 lb (plus a little) ground beef
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 green pepper, diced
1 medium onion, chopped
3/4 cup extra sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
1 tsp salt (optional)
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp celery salt
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1-1/2 cups milk

Mix all ingredients and pack into lightly greased loaf pan. Bake at

350 for 1-1/2 hours. Let stand about 5 minutes and remove with a

spatula.

Aunt Ginny wrote: "This is a soft loaf and doesn't make neat firm

slices, but who cares if it's crumbly?"

Also, we tend to mix meats for this: buy some beef, some pork,

etc., and have the butcher grind it for us.
