Grace glides on blistered feet.
Thanks! It was delicious and much more pungent than sweet.
While I'm at it, here's the other thing I created that went well, extrapolated from something I saw in Moosewood. I wanted to make a vegetarian paté kind of thing, but it didn't exactly come out like one. But everyone loved it, anyway, creamy with a kick.
Lola's Vegetarian Paté
1-2 cups of cashews, roasted in oven and ground up in food processor to grainy bits
1 8 oz. package cream cheese
1-2 tablespoons milk
about 4 oz. creamy feta cheese
2 minced Cipollina onions (or half a big yellow onion)
2-3 tablespoons cayenne pepper
Mix milk and cream cheese until smooth. Add everything else. Eat it. With crackers or as bread spread. I think I'm going try making it a sandwich with a heavy bread and some cress.
(This will probably
work ok with Neufchatel if fat & cholesterol are a concern.)
