Yeah-I'm A Bitch. Just Not Your Bitch.

Problem: 38 pounds of oranges=76 oranges.
Solution: Buy some champagne and invite people over (who own a juicer )for mimosas on XMAS morning.

Egg Nog Recipe. Caution--I made this lots-- up until ten years ago. Then came the egg scare. The recipe will have to be for next year: it takes 30 days for it to peak. But the product is rich and creamy and bears NO resemblance in taste or texture to what you find in the Dairy case.

We'll call this "Dave's Egg Nog"

Why? Because Dave is a good egg and because Dave gave me the recipe. I'm real good at linear thinking. But that's not important now.

INGREDIENTS

A fifth of Vodka
A fifth of dark rum
1 1/2 cups sugar
24 large egg yolks
A nice big glass container to hold it all
Fresh Nutmeg (ground in 30 days, Natch)

Beat egg yolks until frothy(Them, not you. You do not have to whip them that diligently.)
Turn mixer down to low and s-l-o-w-l-y add sugar--about a tablespoon at a time. With the mixer still on low, pour in Vodka s-l-o-w-l-y too. Ditto the rum. Put the entire concoction in glass jar and put in a cool and dark place.

Happy Holidaze!
