I am a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls and crushing ice.
Marya, my husband is troubled by that symbolism. Whenever he gets me a knife as a gift, he makes me pay him a dime. That way I "bought" it from him.
I have to share theOyster Pan Roast recipe I made for supper last night. It came from the old River Road Recipes cookbook.
Lightly butter
a pyrex pie pan (or similar casserole). Dump a pint of drained oysters into
the pan. Sprinkle the oysters with 2 tablespoons each chopped parsley and chopped
scallions. Over that, sprinkle with one cup crushed cracker crumbs (I used purchased
bread crumbs). Melt one stick of butter. Add 1/2 tsp dry mustard and 2 tsps
Worcestershire sauce to the butter. Pour the butter mixture over the oysters.
Put into a preheated 450 oven and bake for 10-15 minutes until hot and bubbly.
Serve hot.
