I guess "recipe" is too strict a word. "Suggestion" would be closer to the truth, since I've never measured portions, etcetera.
Perfect Summer Potato Salad
Ingredients:
- New potatoes, cubed and cooked until just tender
- Fresh peas out of the pod (thawed frozen peas will do in a pinch, since freezing techniques are so improved)
- Diced red pepper (uncooked)
- Mayonnaise
- Cardini's Lime-Dill salad dressing
- Fresh tarragon, chopped fine
- Ground black pepper, salt
Make sure the potatoes aren't cooked until their skins are falling off. Combine potatoes in bowl with mayonnaise and Lime-Dill dressing. Add peas and red peppers, then chopped tarragon. Salt/pepper to taste.
The bright reds and greens are eye-catching, and it's a really delicious potato salad (in a very non-Germanic fashion).

You know, fresh peas are more expensive than steak sometimes, so by all means use frozen (thawed) peas to save time and money. At least, once you've tried it with the fresh peas first.
