Summer Pasta with Green Beans
I made up a summer pasta dish with barely-steamed green beans, thrown into orrichiette with feta, sun-dried tomatoes, yellow peppers and mushrooms. Steamed the beans until bright green, rinsed in cold water so they'd stop cooking, then cooked mushrooms and peppers in olive oil until pasta was ready. Tossed together at last minute with lots of ground black pepper. Very summery. Necessity being the mother of invention is a good thing; I just had to cook those beans!
