Geisha means “art person.” Though geishas themselves are comparable to works of art, this is not the sense I intend when I use the phrase, despite having once been young, beautiful and perfectly accessorized.

As a web geisha, I want the sites I create to be beautiful and useful—reflecting the essence of my clients’ products or services. A former calligrapher who worships the Macintosh, the internet has allowed me to bring together my talents and make a satisfying career devoted to beauty and service.

Visual haiku for websites: that's what I do. Email me: tana@tanabutlerDOTcom

Lately, my most rewarding work is photographing and writing about farms at my www.iheartfarms.com weblog.
